What's the Big Idea?

My middle child, Adam, was one of those kids who was always saying things that made me laugh. Many of those funny phrases stuck in my consciousness and still make me smile whenever they come to mind. One of them came about while looking for a solution to one of the daily dilemmas four-year-olds often find themselves in. His face suddenly lit up as he announced, "Hey, I gotta' big idea!"

The Shack by Wm. Paul Young

Please read this book and then pass it on. I'm grateful my dear sister-in-law who passed it on to me. Here's an excerpt - just one of the many that touched my soul and opened my eyes to a glimplse of who God really is.

He meets God after a strange note appears in his mailbox inviting him to return to a cabin in the woods close to where his daughter disappeared.

Now the businessman has decided he’ll never hire another ex-con or addict.

Serving on a non-profit board: what’s that really all about?

I was flattered the first time I was asked to serve on the Board of Directors for Seeds of Hope. I asked what would be expected of me, and was handed a copy of Seeds of Hope’s Bylaws. I never would have dreamed my “yes” would lead me on an adventure that rivals Bilbo Baggins’ tale.
